Remember Me? I'm So Happy To Be Back!

I release the weight
of all that is me
into the chair underneath me,
and breathe deep.

As I gaze beyond
my laptop
to the view in front of me,
I am overcome with tears.

Several months ago -
(well, actually,
looking back now,
I know this transition
began over a year ago)
God starting moving.
(Isn't He always?!)

An unexpected trip home
December 2020
to check on my mother
became she and I
doing life together -
between her home and mine
(400 miles apart from each other)
month after month after month.

I tease her,
with all the driving we have done
over this past year and a half,
we could have probably
toured the United States
several times by now

Then came August 2020.
A trip to see my sister
to celebrate my mom's
eighty-fifth birthday,
and as they say,
the rest is history -
only the history
is just now
starting to become ours
as we settle into
a new home -
one that is now ours,
hers and mine -
in a new state
where neither of us
have ever lived before.

Needless to say,
with all the
here and there
of the last few years,
the one place
I haven't been
is here.

At my keyboard.

Writing.

Sharing.

Telling of the goodness
of my God.

And the heartprints
I could share
of what God has done
while I've been absent here . . .
I pray I get the chance.

In all the "new" happening,
I have also been
working on a new webpage.
One that will enable me
to house all things
"Heartprints of God'
in one place.

It's still a work in progress,
but if you'd like -
come on over
and have a look around

God willing,
now that life is
settling down
even the tiniest bit,
I hope to be
showing up here often.
And, if you are a subscriber,
showing up regularly
in your inbox again, too!

Our God is amazing.

His faithfulness -
unbelievably believable!

Knowing Him
the way I do,
hearing Him lead
the way I do,
feeling His conviction
and counsel
the way I do,
seeing His blessings
and favor
the way I do,
witnessing His heartprints
always in all ways
the way I do -
you could
never ever
convince me
there is no God.

I pray with every word
written in this place,
your heart believes
more and more, too,

His ways
definitely
are not our ways,
(and really, aren't you glad?!)
but oh,
how perfect they are.

Take it from
a heart
that knows.
